Our History
Amerit is the result of a merger between two companies: Suna Solutions and Amerit Consulting. Suna Solutions was founded in 2001 to provide quality management, process optimization and cost management consulting services to Fortune 500 companies. Amerit Consulting was founded in 2002 to provide temporary staffing and payrolling services. The two organizations began partnering in 2003 and formally merged in 2004.
Since then, we have continued to evolve, and now can provide our clients a more robust Human Capital Management service, which includes the integration of technology in the management of all human capital functions, including direct hire services, temporary staffing, and project based management.
Today, Amerit maintains three main operating divisions: Staffing Services, Consulting Services, and Business Process Outsourcing.
Gary Herbold, Purple Heart Story
The story of Amerit Consulting, Inc. really began in 1965 when Gary joined the Navy, and soon enlisted in Medical Corps School. He worked in three hospitals during the following three years. The summer of 1968 is when he received orders to serve with the 1st Marine Division, US Marine Corps as a combat medic in Viet Nam.
As a Corpsman, Gary served on the ground in Viet Nam, and while helping fellow Marines during a series of land mine blasts, was hit in both legs and spent the next year recuperating in Naval hospitals.
His heroic acts earned him a purple heart, and modern medicine allowed him to keep both legs.
It’s Gary’s experience that fueled his desire to provide support and outreach to other veterans through the development of a Disabled Veteran-Owned Business. And that’s how Amerit Consulting came to be.
